Background:
I have a Windows machine as a server in the basement. It hosts my video and photo collection.
There is a PC connected to every TV in the house, each of which can stream video/photo from the basement server.
Last May, I read about this Android Mini PC stick, the MK802 II. I pictured replacing all those bulky PCs next to the TVs by these Android Mini PC sticks. So I ordered the first one from aliexpress for $59 including shipping. The result was OK, but not very spectacular mainly because of the single CPU performance.
In October, I ordered the successor - Rikomagic MK802 III - Android 4.1 Smart TV Stick - US$59 Free Shipping. This stick has a Dual Core 1.6Ghz Cortex A9 1GB RAM 4G ROM HDMI.
The MK802 III is much faster than the II and I have it permanently attached to an LCD screen in the kitchen now. However, it is still not good enough to replace all those PCs.

What's it good for?
